Brain is 16th Alaskan to cash at World Series of Poker

Michael Brain of Anchorage this week became the 16th Alaskan to cash in at the 46th annual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Brain finished 78th and won $2,651 in a Split Format Hold 'em event that drew 873 players and required a $1,500 buy-in, or entry fee.

According to the World Series website, that marked the fourth time Brain has won money in a WSOP event and pushed his career earnings in the WSOP to $18,604.
