Anchorage police have identified a man killed in a shooting late Memorial Day as 27-year-old Marquise Pope.
Pope's family has been contacted about the death, police said.
Police said no charges have yet been filed, though several witnesses in the home were taken to the police department for questioning.
Police said they arrived at the home, on the 8300 block of Pokey Circle in South Anchorage, shortly before 11:30 p.m. in response to a report of shots fired, and found Pope dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Few immediate details were available, but police wrote in a bulletin that, "It appears that everyone involved knew one another. While no charges have been filed at this point, (p)olice believe they have contacted everyone involved and are not currently looking for anyone."
