Palmer's Leif Mumma placed third in the male ages 12-14 division at the IFSA North American Junior Freeskiing Championships on April 11 at Grand Targhee Resort in Alta, Wyoming.
Mumma, 14, finished the season second in the IFSA overall standings for his age group. The Alyeska Ski Club skier was the only Alaskan to compete at the North American championships. His two-run score of 66.63 ranked behind winner Alex Lundstrom of Park City, Utah (68.13 points) and Cooper Davis of Lake Tahoe, California (67.0) out of 29 competitors in the field.
