NAHL report: Visiting goalies stymie Alaska teams

Tough Friday night for Alaska's two NAHL entries.

The Kenai River Brown Bears fell to visiting Johnston, 3-1, in Soldotna, where Tomahawks goaltender Ryan Bednar delivered 41 saves. Alex Jackstadt of Anchorage had Kenai River's goal. The Brown Bears fell to 13-34-2.

In Fairbanks, the Ice Dogs fell 5-2 to the Keystone Ice Miners, who got 28 saves from Alex Blankenburg, who has a pretty cool last name for a goalie, as I am sure he's been told a billion times. Lonnie Clary and Josef Ingman scored for Fairbanks, which at 32-14-3 is only two point behind the Midwest Division-leading Minnesota Wilderness.
