More Alaska connections on the move

Wondered when former UAA goaltender Nathan Lawson would be back on the radar and the answer came today -- he has signed a try-out deal with the Dornbirner EC, an Austrian club, according to eliteprospects.com

Lawson, 31, who has NHL experience, played last season in the Ottawa Senators organization, mostly in the AHL.

Also, defenseman Drew MacKenzie, who helped the Alaska Aces to the Kelly Cup in June and has signed with ECHL South Carolina (coached by former UAA forward Spencer Carbery), is on a try-out with AHL Providence.

Former Aces center Bobby Hughes is headed back to ECHL Gwinnett.

And former Aces forward Judd Blackwater has signed with ECHL Ontario.
