A Kenai motorist was flown to Anchorage with serious injuries from the rollover crash of her pickup on the Kenai Spur Highway early Thursday, troopers said.
The crash that injured 19-year-old Kiana Edgmon, near Mile 17 of the highway, was first reported to troopers just after 6:15 a.m.
"Investigation revealed (Edgmon) was driving a 2001 Dodge truck southbound when she crossed the center line and overcorrected causing the vehicle to slide into the ditch along the southbound lane of the Kenai Spur Highway," troopers wrote. "The truck rolled over, pinning Edgmon under the truck."
A LifeMed air ambulance flew Edgmon, the truck's only occupant, to an Anchorage hospital.
Troopers were still investigating the crash.
