Driver dies after being ejected from vehicle in East Anchorage crash

A driver in East Anchorage died after being ejected from a vehicle on Northern Lights Boulevard early Sunday.

Anchorage police were called to the intersection of Patterson Street and Northern Lights around 3:25 a.m. for a collision, police said in an online statement. A vehicle was found in the tree line and the driver had been ejected, police said. The driver died on scene.

It was not immediately clear if any other vehicles were involved, and police said they were investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The driver’s identity was not immediately released Sunday. Police are asking anyone who has information about the crash to call dispatch at 311.
