Anchorage police alert public to woman missing for over 2 weeks

Anchorage police are asking for the public's help in locating a woman who has been missing for more than two weeks.

Police spokeswoman Renee Oistad wrote in a statement that 32-year-old Kimberly Charlie was last seen by family on Aug. 20.

Charlie's family contacted the police department on Wednesday to report her disappearance, Oistad wrote. They tried to locate Charlie but so far have been unsuccessful.

Police describe Charlie as 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about Charlie's whereabouts can call police dispatchers at 907-786-8900.
